Degree in Insurance or related field

Accounts Technician
Key Tasks and Accountabilities
Financial Reporting and IFRS
Effective generation of monthly reconciliation reports
Responsible for audit engagements
Effective cash management-Daily Banking and Petty Cash control
Effective management of transaction allocation (receipting and journals)
Ensure all monies are allocated to the correct business area through the system
Investigate and follow up on all unallocated receipts
Ensure all debit order files are submitted to the bank for monthly collection
Prepare payments in accordance to agreed-upon SLAs
Ensure amounts outstanding are not excessive
Ensure all queries are resolved timeously
Prepare Withholding tax returns for payment to BURS
Job Requirements
Diploma in Accounting
Studying towards a relevant degree would be beneficial
A minimum of 3 years working experience in a financial role, preferably within the Financial Services Sector
Sound knowledge of accounting practices
Knowledge of relevant IT systems
