The highly anticipated Sarona 1000 Desert Race is set to make its debut in Jwaneng from Friday to Sunday, attracting motorsport enthusiasts from Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa. According to Botswana Motorsport president Tumisang Modibedi, the inaugural event has received significant interest, with a total of 20 racing cars and 30 motorbikes confirmed for the competition.

The Sarona 1000 Desert Race promises to be an action-packed event, bringing together some of the best off-road racers in the region. Competitors will navigate challenging desert terrain, testing their endurance and skill in one of Botswana’s most thrilling motorsport spectacles.
