IHS Admissions For Academic Year 2016/ 2017 Open

Institute of Health Sciences Coordination Unit invites applications from candidates wishing to study for the programme indicated below. The duration for the programme is 2 years.

Advanced Diploma In Midwifery: IHS Gaborone, Kanye SDA College Of Nursing

a. Entry Requirements
b. Candidates must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Botswana (NMCB).
c. Candidates must be in possession of Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) or its equivalent, with a minimum of grade D in English, a minimum of grade C in Mathematics, Biology and Physics/Chemistry, Science Double Award (minimum of Grade CC), Combined Science and Additional Combined Science or any other combination. Two (2) references and an application fee of P50.00 (P75.00 applicants outside SADC).
d. Meeting the minimum entry requirements does not give an applicant guarantee of admission to the programme.
e. Candidates shall go through interview. The pass mark for the interview shall be 50%.
f. Applicants who do not meet the above requirements will not be considered.
g. Application forms are obtainable from institution of choice.
h. Applications from serving public officers must be routed through their Heads of Departments and facilities. Applications not so routed will not be considered.
i. Selected candidates (serving public officers) should apply to the Department of Training for release and sponsorship ONLY after they have received a letter of admission.
