Hon. Kereng presents Botswana VNR

The Minister of Environment and Tourism Philda Nani Kereng is expected to present the Botswana Voluntary National Report (VNR)which outlines progress in the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) at the ongoing United Nations High level Political Forum in New York. This follows the opening of the Ministerial segment of the forum by His Excellency Dr. Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi on the 13th June 2022. The VNR focuses on implementation of sustainable development goals four ,five, 14, 15, and 17 respectively which covers quality education, access to health, gender responsiveness amongst others. Botswana is among the 44 countries that will present their report on actions to ‘build back better’, intergrate the SDGs into the national development framework. The High Level Political Forum is held under the theme Building back better from Covid -19 pandemic.
