Grandpalm honors women
The big carnevous Mokolwane restaurant at the grandpalm resort once more played host to the annual women’s Day activities. This year’s Women’s day themed “Mommy and me” saw all mothers and most women from most walks of life getting some of the best executive treats from the hotel staff. Grandpalm staff dressed in powder blue and black gave mothers nothing but top care on a day solely created to celebrate them.
The young hotel staff gave a welcome drink to guests at the entrance of the restaurant as they made a way into the busy eating place.Mokolwane restaurant popular for its uniqueness in offering dishes ranging from authentic African to Asian cuisine did nt disappoint but left mothers seeking for more and more food. While mothers enjoyed the fancy food items offered by the restaurant some of their children enjoyed the serene environment from the lawn outside while they gulp on their drinks. All mothers in attendance were granted bath salts to use at home. Pontsho Gower, the marketing and Public relations officer at the hotel says that the event was organised to reach out to all mothers.
The elated staff member notes that it is important for all women to be celebrated at all times because they carry many family burdens. “mothers, step mothers and even those that can not bear children, they all play a significant role in our lives as children,” he said. The activities of the day ended with a music session the duo of Trinity an Nono serenading to their music. Old women could not hide their continous support to the words in Nono’s song titled “Borre” as they chantd along while cheering too. Trinity and Nono dressed in navy blue left the old women being celebrated asking for more encores.
