Government Reaffirms Support for BIDPA, Pledges Revitalization Efforts

The Assistant Minister to the State President, Honourable Maipelo B. Mophuting, has assured the Botswana Institute for Development Policy Analysis (BIDPA) of the Government’s continued support. During her visit today, Mophuting emphasized the Government’s commitment to addressing BIDPA’s concerns and ensuring the organization receives the necessary backing to fulfill its mandate.

She acknowledged BIDPA’s crucial role in providing research-based policy recommendations that inform national development strategies. Recognizing the institute’s contributions, she reiterated the need for its revitalization and adequate resourcing to enhance its effectiveness in driving economic and social policy research.

Mophuting also expressed the Government’s appreciation for BIDPA’s work in shaping policies that support Botswana’s sustainable development goals. She assured that necessary measures would be taken to ensure the organization remains a vital think tank in policy formulation and national development planning.

Her visit signified the Government’s recognition of BIDPA’s role and a commitment to strengthening its capacity to achieve even more in the future.
