One of Botswana’s youngest teams, Gilport Lions, will play the biggest team in Zimbabwean football. Highlanders will be celebrating its 90th anniversary and Lions will play them on Sunday, henceforth they invited Lions to celebrate with them since the two sides have had an ongoing relationship for a while now.

Many big teams in Botswana are probably envying this opportunity. Gilport has managed to clinch the deal because of their connections in Zimbabwe. Gilport will obviously make new relationships and maybe get one or two players and other things. The good thing is that they can learn a number of things from this big team.

Big up to the lions, we hope you bring it home. This team has an interesting history, it was founded as Botswana Meat Comission Football Club in 1969, and in January 7th 2015 it was renamed as Gilport Lions Football Club.
