Gaborone Hailstorm Leaves Behind A Trail Of Destruction

Weatherman Radithupa Radithupa this time got his predictions right. He warned Batswana, mostly those residing in Gaborone and surrounding areas about a hailstorm.  Heavy falls of 50mm or more were to be expected over some places in the Southern District.

This morning Gaborone experienced heavy rains that were accompanied by strong winds and lightning which caused serious damage to property. Luckily there has been no injuries or death recorded yet, only damaged properties and infrastructures. A picture is worth a thousand words, and the following pictures show the extend of the damage.
