Former Child Star Stompie Donates To Mmopane Village
Dynamite comes in small packages. Stompie came in to our lives to give us music and entertainment, now the young man is giving back to the community in a big way. Spitfire entertainment owner Thabang Wanthata, formerly known as Stompie in collaboration with Youth in Action Society and Western to donated 20 chairs to the Mmopane village Kgotla in the Kweneng district.
The chairs, which are hand decorated with Botswana flag colors, were donated during the Anti-Alcohol and Drugs awareness campaign meant to sensitize the youth about the negative effects of alcohol. The occasion saw members of the community breaking into ululations as they received the chairs. The black and white resemblance of the mark of Botswana flag color is to appreciate the upcoming BOT 50 celebrations.
According to Stompie, students did not like seating on the ground during Kgotla events, therefore the donation challenges them to attend Kgotla events, designed to improve their lives. This is a good initiation more so that it comes from young Batswana. Big Up! We cannot wait for your next album Stompie!
