1.Senior Scientist Certification Services: Vacancy No. 13/2015/2016
Job Summary and Requirements:
To promote the adoption of standards and quality assurance policies and practices within a sector to enhance the delivery of, and public awareness of their rights to, quality goods and services and provide certification services.
The successful candidate will have at least a degree in natural sciences, a valid driving licence and at least two years practical experience in the development and/or implementation of standards as well as recognised expertise in a particular industrial, commercial or environmental sector.
2.Engineer Compulsory Standards (Electrical) : Vacancy No. 14/2015/2016
Job Summary and Requirements:
To enforce compliance with compulsory standards and promote quality assurance policies and practices to enhance the delivery of goods and services to protect the public in the interest of health and safety, and public awareness of their rights to, quality goods and services and provide inspection services within a specialized area.
The successful candidate should have at least a degree in Electrical engineering, a valid driving licence and must be registered with Engineers Registration Board (ERB). Experience is not necessary but would be an added advantage.
3.Technician-Compulsory Standards (Mechanical) tenable at Francistown Branch : Vacancy No. 15/2015/2016
Job Summary and Requirements
To enforce compliance with compulsory standards and quality assurance policies and practices and enhance the delivery of goods and services to protect the public in the interest of health and safety as well as create public awareness of their rights and provide inspection services.
The successful candidate should have a diploma in Mechanical Engineering, a valid driving licence and must be registered with Engineers Registration Board (ERB). Experience is not necessary but would be an added advantage.
4.Internal Auditor : Vacancy No. 16/2015/2016
Job Summary and Requirements
To conduct audits in accordance with the Audit Plan and International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Auditing Standards), and submit draft reports with findings and recommendations to the Manager Internal Audit Services.
The successful candidate should have a Degree with Accounting or Auditing as a major and studying for a professional qualification, such as ACCA, CIMA, CIA or equivalent, and preferably, completed at least one stage of that professional qualification. A minimum of two (2) years experience in internal or external auditing, in a medium to large organisation or reputable accounting firm is required.
5.Senior Engineer/Scientist Industrial Metrology: Vacancy No. 17/2015/2016
Job Summary and Requirements:
To promote the adoption of standards and quality assurance policies and practices within a sector to enhance the delivery of, and public awareness of their rights to, quality goods and services and provide technical services within a specialised quality assurance area (Metrology).
The successful candidate should have at least a degree in natural science or engineering and a valid driving licence and at least two years experience in the development or implementation of standards as well as recognised expertise in a particular industrial, commercial or environmental sector. Specialised postgraduate training in standards research and development and/or implementation of standards would be an added advantage. Engineering applicants must be registered with Engineers Registration Board (ERB).
