The tribulations we surpass on our everyday life can strengthen us or break us emotionally. But we should all have faith and build enough courage to take us where we want to be, after all, the things we want won’t come to us. There is not a single person who achieved success by being stagnant; every successful person had to exhaust all their time and energy trying to make their dreams come true. I believe success starts with your emotional wellbeing.
There is no greater feeling than that of doing what you love and want and or following your dreams which entails a lot of sacrifices and hard work. Most of us would do anything to get a chance to spread our wings and be free from any oppression. To be who we always wanted to be when we were younger, emotional stability is the key aspect that helps us decide which path to take in life.
If you are emotionally tortured by your past, in most cases you realise that you want to achieve a certain level of success just to prove that you are worth it. You feel that the richer you get the greater control you have over your past. But as much as you can’t build a house on a foundation of sand, you can’t build success on a foundation of heartbreak and unbearable memories and this is because no matter how rich you will become money cannot heal the past nor a broken heart.
As much as you try to fill the void that you have in your life with money, you will never be rich enough to get over and move on from your past but rather it will seem like the void we are trying to fill is too big for us or even growing. We should learn to confront our saddest feelings and our past and nurse them to the extent that we are at peace with them. No matter what you went through, if you are at peace with who you are and where you are from you can afford to look back and smile and be proud because forgiving and letting go on its own is a form of success. I know this sounds insane but sometimes when I look back at everything that I went through when I grew up, I laugh because I realise how strong I am, it’s all in the mind. What do you fuel your mentality with, the spirit of revenge or forgiveness?
Elite women like Oprah and Maya Angelou have astonishing and painful pasts but they still managed to overcome everything they have gone through. By appreciating the past and moving on, you are creating room for a brighter future as well as freeing ourselves from the problems that have been limiting our strengths. Letting go creates an atmosphere of relief, openness and braveness to fearlessly approach our dire desires which we may otherwise shy from.
Everything happens for a reason and we are greater than the problems we encounter no wonder there is a saying, ‘What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’. Indeed that is true, the weight of our problems is proportional to the weight we can carry but in most instances we fail to realize that we are more than conquerors and let our problems kick us down and keep us there. Darling, get up and move on. Stop looking back because that is not where you are going and why drag the past along with you when tomorrow holds something else for you.
