DR KERENG MASUPU CLARIFIES THE NEW PERMIT
• IT IS A PUNISHABLE OFFENCE TO MOVE OUT OF YOUR HOME WITHOUT THE NEW PERMIT
• Stay at home
• Revised permit in effect as of 5th April 2020
• Permit application is for critical or reasons beyond control such as health, need to access essentials for households.
• The new permit is a form applicable for use by all ie. essential workers, access to health
• Permit available at all Ministry level, District level, District commissioner, District commissioner (DC) and the Head of the District Health Management Team (DHMT)
• The permit allows data capturing of point of departure ie, who an individual stays with and full details of point of arrival, exact place of arrival
• Authorised travel permit is valid for a maximum of 5 days from date of issue and will need renewal. Permit to access essentials is only available for a day within operating hours.
• Authorised officials shall submit a copy of all issued permits, plus an accompany summary report of permits issued on a daily basis to the National Emergency Operations Centre
