Botswana-Baylor Children’s Clinical Centre of Excellence (BBCCCOE) exists to provide paediatric services for children living with HIV. They are looking for 3 Community Treatment Support Officers to join their organization in Southern District – Kanye SDA Hospital, Kweneng East – Scottish Livingstone Hospital and Southern/Goodhope District – Mmathethe clinic.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum JCE with at least one year’s experience in community work, youth work, HIV/AIDS work or related
Desired requirements
• Sharp administrative, logistical and project budgeting skills
• General management experience
• Willing to travel a long and at times working long hours
• Commitment to work one Saturday in a month
• NB: For Kanye SDA, you will be expected to work one Sunday a month.
• Applicants should be residing within the duty station

Duties

a) In collaboration with the health facility and In-reach team; identify, refer, and link to treatment, care and support ALWHIV and their immediate family members
b) Follow up Teen Club Members to ensure that:
i. their siblings are screened and referred for services e.g. Teen Club, ART etc
ii. other family members beyond our reach are referred to CTS for further assistance through BONEPWA+
c) Following up Teen Mothers to ensure that their children are screened
d) Assist in recruiting teens for Teen Club
e) Supervise, coordinate, plan and facilitate Teen Club events
f) Assisting during home visits for socio-economic assessment
g) To strengthen psycho-social care and support for ALWHIV in close collaboration with other service providers in the community members.
