His Honour the Vice President Mr Slumber Tsogwane this morning received food hampers on behalf of the Botswana Defence Force (BDF) and the Botswana Police Service (BPS). The P1.1 Million worth of food hampers donated by the Choppies Group, will be distributed to members of the disciplined forces who will be on duty during the festive season.
Speaking at the handing over ceremony, Vice President Tsogwane appreciated Choppies for their generosity and good gesture. He commended the group for their continued support to better the lives of Batswana.
The Vice President said Choppies has been making different forms of donations across the country, some of which include building houses for destitute people. He added this continues to improve the welfare of Batswana. He said Choppies is certainly a critical partner in the socio-economic development of Batswana.
Choppies Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ramachandran Ottapathu said the donation is an appreciation for the work that members of BDF and BPS does throughout the year and even during the festive season.
