‘I Have Not Been Fired’– BTV’s Mogomotsi Kaboeamodimo.

Social media has been going abuzz with claims that the Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Office of the President, and Broadcasting at Presidential Affairs and Public Administration ministry, Mogomotsi Kaboeamodimo has allegedly been shown the door. These allegations made most people very happy as Mogomotsi is one of the least favorite people at mass media.

From these reports it was alleged that Kaboeamodimo was sacked by Permanent Secretary to President Carter Morupisi on the instructions of his boss Eric Molale. It is alleged that Kaboeamodimo successfully fought off the attempts to terminate his contract by appealing directly to President Lt. Gen. Dr. Ian Khama. The decision was later rescinded in favor of redeploying him to another ministry, which has not been named.

As it is always the case Kaboeamodimo denies these rumors, that state he is either fired, resigned or been redeployed. According to this news veteran, he is on leave in Lesotho. He has always been accused of being behind the redeployment of many BTV employees to other government departments.

Well only time will tell if he is still at the Mass media complex or not. Truth also ought to be told, Botswana Television really needs some serious uplift. Not so many people watch this local channel, because of content and the never ending politics.
