“BTV CHANNEL 289” Facebook page is FAKE

The public is hereby informed that the above mentioned Facebook page bearing the Btv Logo is neither a creation of the Btv Channel nor that of Department of Broadcasting Services, thus not in any way representing nor associated with these two (2) organizations.

The Department or the Btv division are neither selling nor issuing the SET TOP BOXES as alleged by the page. The only sources we shall be communicating with the public is through our channels, BtvNews, Btv1 and Btv2 as well as Radio Botswana and RB 2, as well as the DailyNews for any further information.

The public is therefore advised to ignore the page for it is using our image unlawfully, and the necessary steps shall be taken to remedy the situation. The public is further advised to ignore any other page purporting to be of any of our channels through misuse of our brand images.
