The long awaited 2016 Botswana General Certificate for Secondary Education (BGCSE) examination results have just been released. A total of 35 465 candidates wrote the 2016 examination showing a decrease in candidature of 8.6% compared to 2015 cohort of 38 796.
There has been a slight increase of 1% in the BGCSE results compared to last year and this year St Joseph’s College is leading with candidates with Grade C or better. Since the BGCSE is a subject-based qualification with no aggregation, the measure used to gauge the performance of candidates is the proportion of candidates who were awarded Grade C or better in 5 syllabi. Congratulations to all those who did well, if you did not achieve what you tried, move on to something new and keep trying till you reach.
