The Botswana Karate Association Senior National Team scooped 7 medals at the Africa Senior Championships which were held in Yaoundé, Cameroon last week, surpassing their set target of 4 Medals.
Ofentse Bakwadi won a Gold Medal in the Men’s Individual Kata, and added another Gold in the Team Kata event alongside Phillip Revaka, Mohammed Ali Hussein
Thabang Setshego won Silver in the Male U60kg Individual Kumite, while Lame Hetanang also scooped Silver in the Women U55kg Kumite.
Revaka won a Bronze Medal in the Boys U17 contest: and Oratile Caiphus grabbed Bronze in the Men’s U75kg
Lemogang Koolopile and Mpho Bosenakitso were illuminated in the preliminary stages.
Team Botswana will be back Home tomorrow to start their preparations for the 2017 Zone 6 Karate Championships in Mozambique in 2 Weeks.
