Botswana continues to shine on the global stage after being crowned with the “Best Stand in Doing Business” Award at the ongoing World Travel Market (WTM) Africa in Cape Town, South Africa. This recognition underscores Botswana’s growing reputation as a premier tourism destination and a key player in the global travel industry.
The Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) showcased a vibrant business-to-business space that truly reflects the strength and appeal of the country’s tourism brand. With an engaging and professional setup, the BTO stand effectively captured Botswana’s unique selling points, including its world-class wildlife experiences, pristine landscapes, and sustainable tourism initiatives.
Receiving the award on behalf of the 17 hosted tour operators represented at the stand, Minister of Environment and Tourism, Hon. Wynter Mmolotsi, expressed pride in Botswana’s achievements.
“Botswana is here to sell our pristine tourism to the world,” Hon. Mmolotsi stated, highlighting the country’s powerful presence at WTM Africa. He emphasized that Botswana’s tourism sector remains committed to offering authentic and sustainable travel experiences, reinforcing its position as a top global destination.
