Botswana’s rising tennis stars, Angel Chakanyuka and Malak Macheng, have arrived in Kenya to compete in two prestigious high-ranking tournaments. The talented duo is set to showcase their skills on the international stage, representing the country in the under-14 category.
Their journey begins with the ITF/CAT Grade One 14 & Under Tournament, scheduled to take place from February 19 to 22. This event serves as an opportunity for young African tennis players to gain experience and improve their international rankings.
Following this, Chakanyuka and Macheng will shift their focus to the ITF/CAT African Junior Championships 14 & Under, which will run from February 24 to March 1. The competition is expected to attract some of the best junior tennis players across the continent, making it a crucial test of skill and endurance for Botswana’s representatives.
The two players will compete in both singles and doubles categories, aiming to make a mark in each division. Their participation in these high-caliber events not only highlights their potential but also reflects Botswana’s growing presence in the junior tennis scene.
