The Botswana Teachers Trade Union (BTTU) has extended a helping hand to its members by donating grocery vouchers worth P40,000. The initiative aims to provide relief to teachers whose accommodations were severely affected by recent floods.

The union distributed the vouchers in packs of P2,500 per member, benefiting 15 teachers from Mogoditshane Junior School and Lentswe Junior School in Mochudi. The assistance is part of BTTU’s ongoing commitment to supporting educators in times of crisis.

Speaking in an interview with Yarona FM News, BTTU Secretary Innocent Puso emphasized that the union remains dedicated to providing aid to affected members. He assured that further efforts would be made to assist those still struggling in the aftermath of the floods.

The donation comes as a much-needed relief for teachers who have faced significant disruptions due to the disaster. With continued support from the union, affected members can access essential supplies as they work towards rebuilding their lives.
