Botswana’s Olympic heroes—Bayapo Ndori, Leungo Scotch, Letsile Tebogo, and Anthony Pesela—have shown their immense gratitude towards their personal coach, Kebonyemodisa Dose Mosimanyane, in an extraordinary way. The quartet gifted their mentor a brand-new Lexus, a gesture that symbolizes their deep appreciation for his unwavering guidance, dedication, and belief in their potential, which led them to make history at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The celebrations began the moment the Botswana National Athletics Team touched down at Sir Seretse Khama International Airport. His Excellency President Dr. Mokgweetsi E.K. Masisi, the First Lady Mrs. Neo Jane Masisi, and a multitude of jubilant supporters were on hand to welcome the team home. The atmosphere was electrifying, as the nation came together to celebrate a landmark achievement in Botswana’s sporting history.

Following the airport reception, the celebrations moved to the Botswana National Stadium, where more than 30,000 people gathered to honor the athletes. The stadium was a sea of blue, black, and white as the crowd cheered for the 4x100m relay team and individual star Letsile Tebogo, who won Botswana’s first-ever Olympic gold medal. It was a moment of immense pride, not just for the athletes, but for the entire nation.

In a more intimate setting, after the public celebrations, the four athletes presented Coach Mosimanyane with the Lexus. The luxurious car was more than just a token of thanks—it represented the deep bond and mutual respect between the athletes and their coach.

The coach, who has been with the team through countless hours of training, strategy sessions, and international competitions, was deeply touched by the gesture.
