From 13th to 14th December 2022, Botswana and Zimbabwe held a Mid-Term Review of the two countries 3rd Session of the Bi-National Commission (BNC). The Meeting was held in Harare, Zimbabwe, and was co-chaired by Ambassador Dr. Gladys Mokhawa, Permanent Secretary – Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Botswana, and Ambassador Mr. James Manzou – Permanent Secretary – Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Zimbabwe.

The review took stock of progress made on the implementation of decisions made during the 3rd Session of the BNC which took place in February this year. Among others, this included a review of cooperation in the areas of Agriculture, Trade and Investment, Defence and Security, Immigration matters, Cross-border livestock rustling, as well as appreciating progress made towards the finalisation of MOUs / Agreements such as, the MoU on the Promotion of Cooperative Development and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development. Botswana’s delegation was led by Ambassador Dr. Gladys Mokhawa.
