Bokomo Botswana (Pty) Ltd is a leading producer of wheat, maize and sugar products (White Star Super Maize Meal, Bokomo Flour and Pure Sugar). The locally manufactured products and an extensive basket of FMCG products are distributed throughout Botswana from its premises in Gaborone. These include well-known brands like Weet-Bix, Heinz, Bokomo Cornflakes, Spekko Rice, Ceres and Fruitree beverages, Wellington Sauces, Nature Source, FutureLife, Safari range of Dried Fruits and Nuts and Salads, Moirs, Simba snacks etc. WAREHOUSE AND DISTRIBUTION MANAGER Through best inventory management practices, effectively manage the warehouse and distribution sections towards attaining agreed customer service level targets while being cost effective and improving efficiencies. This include on time deliveries and acceptable order fill levels. Management of Pallet control system. Reporting to the Operations Manager. THE JOB: Receiving and binning of stock as per the EWM system. Order picking in accordance with the customer NODs. Accurate and timely processing of IBTs (Inter Branch Transfers). Periodic stock counts. Returns management and housekeeping. Route planning and truck utilization. Monthly reporting on key indicators and expense management. Management of Chep pallets. Check and update CSA Reports accordingly. Building and managing an effective team of employees and introduce industry best practice required and adhering to SHE standards. THE REQUIREMENTS: A seasoned professional with drive and energy and a holder of a suitable Degree or higher qualification. 8 years’ post qualification experience with at least A years as Warehouse/Distribution Manager. Previous work in the FMCG Industry as well as Logistics/Transportation field vital. Knowledge of electronic warehouse management systems (EWM, SSC and SAP) essential. Strong communication and planning skills and be able to maintain a disciplined team. An analytical thinker; decisive; assertive; proactive; innovative and a team player.
