Beyonce’s ‘Black Is King’ Scheduled To Air On Mnet

Beyonce’s “Black Is King” scheduled to air on Mnet. The announcement was made earlier this week and Mnet on DSTV will be broadcasting the highly anticipated film. Mnet is yet to disclose broadcasting details with DSTV subscribers.

DSTV subscribers are worried and a bit skeptical that the broadcast will be exclusive to premium subscribers but it’s all just speculation until DSTV makes it official. Excitement over Beyonce Knowles’s latest work grows by thee minute more-so that a longer trailer of the visual album was shared last Sunday. It showed a few more celebrity faces the likes of her longtime best friend, Kelly Rowland, Naomi Campbell and her mother Tina Knowles-Lawson.

‘Black Is King’ is set to arrive two weeks after a one year anniversary of The Lion King Theatrical release. According to Disney, ‘The film re-imagines the lessons from the  2019 blockbuster for today’s young kings and queens in search of their own crown”, a representative said.

Beyonce Giselle Knowles-Carter,  is an American  singer, songwriter, dancer and actress but also wife to Jay-Z with whom she has three children with.  The multi-talented ‘Queen Bee’ as she is sometimes called rose to fame in the late 1900s as the lead singer in ‘Destiny’s child’ before she would pursue her own solo career.  To date, Beyonce is one of the world’s best selling music artists with over a 100 million records sold  worldwide.
