Berry Heart Gets 7 BOMU Nominations From An Unofficially Released Album
The controversial BOMU awards never seize to amaze. Year in and year out there has to be an issue about these awards making headlines for the wrong reasons. Berry Heart who has been nominated for 7 awards’ s album on a album that is yet to be officially released.
Normally an album has to be released nine months before it can qualify for the awards. Berry Heart’s album has not been officially released yet and most people have not heard the album. Many people are now questioning the criterion because they feel that the public cannot vote for something they have not heard.
Secretary general, Pagson Ntsie, said they have waived certain rules with this year’s awards because Botswana was celebrating 50 years of music. Berry Heart’s album Kenya has been nominated for Best Female, Best R&B album, Best Newcomer, Best Single, Best Collaboration, and Best-packaged album.
