Bakwena Commended for their self-Reliance
Minister for State President Honorable Kabo Morwaeng has commended Goora-Sune ward residents in Molepolole, their self-reliance in developing their ward by building for themselves Kgotla Shelter and office.
Minister Morwaeng said this, at the official handing over of the newly refurbished Goora-Sune Kgotla this morning. He said the project is a celebration of Batswana heritage and the importance that is attached to Bogosi.
Minister Morwaeng said Kgotla is a fundamental privilege, where every motswana is guaranteed fair and unbiased yet free access to justice, through the customary courts. Minister Morwaeng called on other members of the society to continue finding ways of contributing to their community.
For his part Bakwena paramount Chief Kgosi Kgari III, said what residents of Goora-Sune have done should be motivation to other communities to emulate. He said for them to contribute for the building of their shelter and office should be a lesson to next generation about the importance of self-reliance. He implored the residents to keep their spirit and protect the traditions that identifies them as a community .
