Bahamas Friendship Key In The Development Of Botswana’s Economy

His Excellency Dr Mokgweetsi E.K. Masisi said the friendship Botswana is establishing with Bahamas is pivotal as the two countries could learn more from each other.

His Excellency said Bahamas tourism industry is of note, and as an industry that Botswana wish to explore and maximise on, it is key that Botswana learns from Bahamas. He said this will increase the much needed job opportunities in the country.

The President assured Bahamas Governor General that the 110 scholarships Botswana offered the Bahamas stands and only awaiting their uptake.

The Governor General noted that the engagements she had with young people showed that there is so much hope and bright future in Botswana. On the other hand she noted that Bahamas have advanced interest in agriculture and their relations with Botswana will play an impactful role in them advancing the agricultural sector in their country.
