Arsenal want to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund as Alexis Sanchez‘s replacement, according to reports in Germany. Sanchez is on the verge of joining Manchester United in a £30million deal which could be announced this week.
The Chilean was expected to move to Manchester City but Jose Mourinho’s side are ready to make the 29-year-old the highest-paid player in the Premier League with a £400,000-a-week contract.
City have now pulled out of the race for the forward as they are unwilling to match United’s offer. Arsenal, meanwhile, are stepping up their efforts to sign a replacement for Sanchez.
