Applications For Temporary Permits

The Department of Road Transport and Safety invites applications for temporary permits for the coming Festive Season Public Holidays.

Public Transport Operators interested in providing additional service on long routes are advised to submit their applications at their respective DRTS Offices.

The Department will accept applications for Temporary Permits from 5th to 16th December 2022, from 0730hrs – 1630hrs. No applications for Temporary Permits will be accepted after 16th December 2022.

Permits issued for these Holidays shall be valid as follows:

-Temporary permits shall be valid as from the 23rd, 24th, 25th, 27th, 31st December 2022 and from 1st, 2nd and 3rd January 2023.

-26th,28th, 29th & 30th December 2022 shall not be valid.
