President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi and the First Lady Neo Masisi , this morning joined members of the Anglican Diocese of Botswana for their golden jubilee celebration .
President Masisi said government cherish the symbiotic relationship that exits between government and the church. He said the Anglican church has been part of the national development in many ways.
“The church has not only contributed to the spiritual well being of our citizens but has played a major role in improving the welfare of our communities” he added
President Masisi encouraged the Anglican Diocese to work implement its strategic plan in line with their vision which is ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ก๐ข๐๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐๐๐ค๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐-๐ ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐๐๐ก๐๐๐-๐ค๐๐๐ ๐โ๐ข๐๐โ ๐กโ๐๐ก ๐๐ ๐ค๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ .
He said it is through that strategic plan that the church can contribute meaningfully to the Human Social Development pillar of the Botswana National Vision 2036.
For his part the Botswana Anglican Bishop Metlhayotlhe Beleme said the church s anniversary gives them an opportunity to remember how God has been good to them over the years.
