Ambassador Molosiwa Presents Credentials

On 24th August 2022: Ambassador of the Republic of Botswana HE Mrs Sarah S. Molosiwa presented her Letters of Credence to His Excellency Dr. Emmerson D. Mnangagwa, President of the Republic of Zimbabwe.

In welcoming the new Ambassador, President Mnangagwa acknowledged the excellent bilateral relations that subsists between the two sister Republics. The President also recognised that, not only do Botswana and Zimbabwe share excellent cordial relations espoused by a strong historical and cultural legacy, but also experience the same challenges such as droughts brought about by climate change, and food security.

On her part, Ambassador Molosiwa underscored the importance of maintaining excellent, neighbourly relations between the two countries and pledged to work harder to elevate them, especially in the areas of trade & investment, where she opined that, Botswana and Zimbabwe should work shoulder to shoulder to make the two countries global trade investment centres.

Ambassador Molosiwa is replacing former Ambassador Lt. Gen. (Rtd) Matshwenyego Louis Fisher who has since retired from public service.
