Tomorrow is a big day for our golden girl 400 metre runner, Amantle Montsho who will be on track for the first time after her two year ban has been lifted. She will be showing her talents at Lobatse Sports Complex in a Botswana Athletics Association(BAA) track and field event this Saturday.
Amantle started intensive training this year, and she is expected to pick from where she left before she was banned in the world of athletics. However on Saturday she will face a fierce battle in the 400 metres from the likes of Lydia Jele, Christine Botlogetswe, Galefele Moroko and hurdler Oarabile Babolai who will share the same track with Montsho on the day.
Montsho is under the guardiance of coach Mogomotsi Otsetswe, who hopes this race will help Amantle to qualify for 2017 London World Championships. This will be it a bonus for her as well as a morale booster. Amantle is a crowd puller, henceforth all eyes will be on the 400 metre women event as all the athletes will be motivated by her return.
