Politics is a dirty game that is not for the fainthearted. For years the world of politics have been dominated by me, but things have taken a dramatic twist as more and more women are making a mark in this field. On a fiercely contested battle in the US, Hillary Clinton proves to be a force to be reckoned with by reaching a historic moment for women.
It is for the first time in the history of the United States of America that a woman will be a major party’s nominee. She won the California Democratic primary, further cementing her hold on the nomination. In all, she won four of the six states voting in primaries on Tuesday, also taking New Jersey, South Dakota and New Mexico.
“To every little girl who dreams big: Yes, you can be anything you want, even President. Tonight is for you,” she wrote on Twitter. She gives the women across the globe in all fields that gender is not supposed to hinder anyone. Congratulations Hillary.
