Social Media Reacts To Picture Of Zebras Players Buying Alcohol

It’s never a dull day where social media is concerned in our country. We have come out of our cocoon from a boring nation, to a highly opinionated one. This week the one on the firing line is our beloved national football team, Zebras. Some team members were caught on candid camera over the weekend buying alcohol wearing their brand gear.

The picture is trending on social media, and as it is the norm with this type of medium, people are coming up with their different point of views. ” I see nothing wrong here. They are adults, they are on a break and they deserve respect in terms of privacy,” said one gentleman by the name Thuso. Another one by the name Chris had this to say, “We all know these guys do drink beer but so long as there are in national colors they must desist from flooding alcoholic outlets.”

Some people are blaming the media for missing the plot with publicized personal information, whereas others are happy that the reason why we perform badly on an international level is exposed. Whatever the case maybe, there is nothing wrong with Zebras players drinking but out of respect for their national brand representation they should have not been wearing their jerseys at a Liquor store buying alcohol.
