Banyana Banyana Defeat Botswana In 1st leg AWCN Qualifier

Botswana Women national soccer team was  defeated by neighbors South Africa by 2 goals to nil on Saturday, 9 April 2016 at the Lobatse Sports Complex in Botswana.  The visitors were favorites to emerge victorious from the encounter but the our girls made it very difficult for them.

Botswana looked very solid, organised and very determined – they were in total control of the first half with Banyana Banyana defending with everything they had and managed to hold on until the halftime break. Unfortunately for us, Sanah Mollo gave the rials  2 away goals with a brace.

And that is how it ended with South Africa having an advantage going into the second leg on Tuesday, 12 April at the Makhulong Stadium. Kickoff is at 19h00.
