New Gaborone United midfielder Kabelo Seakanyeng has scooped the December bePLAYER of the Month award following his inspiring performances in the last month of 2015. The 22-year-old winger caught the eye while playing for Botswana Defence Force (BDF) XI against this season’s top beMOBILE Premiership title contenders Township Rollers and Orapa United in December, before transferring to GU at the beginning of the January Transfer Window.

Prior to the league clashes with Rollers and Orapa, BDF overcame rookies Green Lovers 2-1 with Seakanyeng playing the entire game for Matebele at the Serowe Sports Complex on 5th December 2015.

The Botswana international went on to feature predominately in Matebele’s entertaining 1-1 draw with log leaders Rollers. Seakanyeng and his BDF team-mates then wrapped up the year with a narrow away defeat to high-flying Orapa, who undefeated at home this season.

The Serowe-born player’s displays in those three league matches helped him accumulate the most number of votes from local fans than his counterparts. Seakanyeng walks away with P1,500.00 and the prestigious beMOBILE Premiership bePLAYER of the Month trophy.
