Botswana’s President and Minister of Finance, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Gaborone West, Ndaba Gaolathe, has urged citizens to work together in building a prosperous and inclusive nation. Speaking at the Transformation Assembly in Gaborone West, Gaolathe emphasized the importance of unity, hard work, and a shared vision for the future.
In his address, Gaolathe highlighted that the journey to creating a new Botswana requires the collective efforts of all citizens, regardless of their political or social affiliations. He called for a spirit of determination and purpose, urging Batswana to stand together in shaping a country that operates with integrity and excellence.
“We are on a journey to build a new Botswana, and this new Botswana requires all of us, regardless of political affiliation or background. It demands that we all stand together, work with determination and purpose. We aspire to build a nation governed with integrity, excellence, and one that is admired across the world,” he said.
Gaolathe painted a vision of a Botswana that values fairness, unity, and equality among its people. He emphasized the need for a country where no citizen is left behind, where everyone, young or old, has the opportunity to achieve a better life. He envisions a Botswana where progress is shared, where people work together with a common purpose, and where the nation becomes a model of development and good governance.
“A country that treats every citizen with fairness, unity, and equality. A nation where people share a common spirit, where there is progress. A country where every child and every adult has an equal opportunity to achieve a good life,” Gaolathe added.
His speech resonated with many, as Botswana continues to navigate its path toward economic and social transformation. By calling for national unity and commitment to hard work, Gaolathe reinforced the idea that the future of the country lies in the hands of its people.
