SADC Regional Integration Workshop Ends

The SADC Regional Integration workshop for Government Communicators hosted in Palapye ended today. When closing the event, the Acting Director Mr Tapologo Kwapa thanked the Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry for State President Mr Oshinka Tsiang for his inspiring keynote address when opening the workshop.

He stated that the invaluable insights of the remarks have significantly contributed to the success of the event. He commended the facilitator Dr. Martin Muchero for his guidance and knowledge on SADC mandate and communication role in the SADC agenda. He stated that all ministries play a critical role in imparting and raising awareness on SADC Regional Integration and encouraged communicators to document SADC success stories.

For her Part, Ms Anethe Mtabanengwe, SADC Secretariat Public Relations Unit commended the government communicators for their participation and commitment, adding that as Government Communications Officers, their role in bridging the gap between policy and public understanding is critical. She added that their ability to convey complex ideas clearly and compellingly is essential for transforming the vision of SADC Regional Integration into a shared goal.
