Lesego Chombo, the current Miss Botswana was recently welcomed home with a party organised by the Maun Community and the Miss Botswana Organising Committee. The homecoming celebration gave Miss Botswana the chance to engage with the public on several platforms.
Miss Botswana visited Letsholathebe II Memorial Primary School where she started her primary school. She also visited Sedie Junior Secondary School where she previously spent two years and sat for her Junior Certificate Examinations.
At both schools, Miss Botswana outlined that her project entails encouraging children especially those from less privileged families to dream and live to achieve their dreams; to live a life of purpose by adding value to their lives; to have courage to face challenges and to embrace love in all their interactions. Students appreciated Miss Botswana for being their role model, having motivated and inspired them to believe that they too can be successful if they keep focus.
