Singapore High Commissioner To Botswana Paid A Courtesy To DPSM Director
Singapore High Commissioner to Botswana H.E Zainal Arif Mantaha paid a courtesy visit to the Director, Directorate of Public Service Management Ms Gaone Manzini Macholo early today.
When welcoming H.E Mantaha, Ms Macholo highlighted that DPSM through the Botswana Public Service College desires to continue to partner with Civil Service College (CSC) of Singapore. She said this is particularly important for continuity and for ensuring exposure of the Botswana Public Service Strategic leadership to international best practice as CSC is an internationally renowned organization.
For his part, H.E Zainal Arif Mantaha reiterated his country’s support to Botswana through CSC. He said they will be glad to assist BPSC on any new challenges encountered post Covid-19. The High commissioner also informed the meeting of the Singapore-Africa Partnership Program which was announced by the Singapore Prime Minister recently.
The initial stages of collaboration between BPSC and CSC dates as far back as 2007/08 and it covered broad areas being consultation in the transformation from the former Botswana Institute of Administration and Commerce (BIAC) to the current Botswana Public Service College.
Other issues that were discussed include Botswana’s Re-set and Transformation Agenda following Covid-19, the new Botswana Public Service Competency Framework, the envisaged transition from BPSC to the Centre for Productivity and Continuing Education.
