1. ASSISTANT VENTILATION OFFICER (6 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT)
Job Summary:
To maintain ventilation systems efficiency and occupational hygiene measurements to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Activities:
• Adheres to quality assurance/governance protocol/principles in area of responsibility.
• Recommends and incorporates cost containment initiatives into budget and controls expenditure within approved parameters.
• Measures ventilation and occupational hygiene parameters to provide information for ventilation engineering decision.
• Develops short term mine ventilation layouts for a designated section to ensure legal compliance.
• Implements and monitors the mines ventilation systems and programmes to ensure legal compliance.
• Inducts people going underground on ventilation aspects to and ensures compliance to standards and legal compliance.
• Inspects return airways, worked out areas and refuge bays to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
• Conducts stone dust sealed off gas sampling and sensors response tests on the Adroit EMS.

• 2 years post qualification experience in a mining environment.

2. VENTILATION OBSERVER (6 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT)
Job Summary:

3. SALES AND MARKETING CLERK
Job Summary:
To weigh road trucks/wagons and process documents for product sales, including invoicing, preparation of dispatch/export documents and customs clearance.
Key Activities:
• Adheres to quality assurance/governance protocol/principles in area of responsibility.
• Participates in control of Mini Business Units cost saving initiatives by optimizing resource utilization in area of responsibility.
• Receives purchase orders from customers, checks product quantity/quality, account payment status and captures order into order bank/syspro.
• Issues loading instructions/picking numbers to customers specifying product type and quantities as per order.
• Weighs trucks and wagons in accordance with MCM procedures and statutory legal requirements to determine quantity loaded and raises Dispatch Note.
• Attaches wagon labels after wagon inspection and checks against train list from railways.
• Checks the Dispatch Note against the Proforma Invoice, Order Acknowledgement and Picking Number for accuracy of captured data and release a Tax Invoice.
• Prepares and accurately complete the required customs documents including but not limited to Bills of Entry, Certificates of Origin, Goods Consignment Notes.
• Compiles and submits exports documents online to BURS for clearing and Botswana Railways for rating to facilitate delivery of product to foreign customers.
• Notifies customers of dispatched consignments and documents by use of appropriate communication medium.
• Respond to customers inquiries/queries by telephone or e-mail.
• Liaises with customers and transporters to agree on loading dates and logistics.
• Verifies customers product requirements to ascertain that the driver has provided correct loading instructions to ensure supply of right quality and quantity of product.
• Maintains and control filling system in accordance with the standard filling procedures for speedy retrieval of customers records.
• Checks transport claim invoices before recommending for payment.
• Performs weekly and monthly reconciliations on General Ledger, Coal Sales Summary report and resolves reconciling items.
• Prepares, maintain and update reports as and when required. (i.e. trains and trucks turnaround reports).

• Induct all customers and transporters entering MCM on MCM SHE and Traffic Management procedures and maintain induction records.

4. LABORATORY ANALYST
Job Summary:
To conduct chemical and physical test works on samples in accordance with MCM standards and legal requirements.
Key Activities:
• Adheres to quality assurance/governance protocol/principles in area of responsibility.
• Recommends and incorporates cost containment initiatives into budget and controls expenditure within approved parameters.
• Analyses samples in accordance with MCM set standards using appropriate equipment.
• Verifies the laboratory equipment in accordance with MCM standards policies and procedures and files records.
• Conducts tests for the proficiency testing and inter lab comparisons programmes.
• Implements internal analysis controls for quality assurance purposes.
• Correlates data generated from the tests/analysis prior to internal reporting.
• Assist with implementation of the Quality Management System.
• Performs scheduled test works with MCM in accordance with MCM set parameters and within the stipulated turn around time to ensure adherence to the clients requirements.
• Generates valid data from various test works.
• Captures equipment maintenance information in the event of any deviations on MIS, reports to the technicians and engages internal engineering department.

6. INTERNAL AUDITOR – TECHNICAL
Job Summary:
To provide independent, objective assurance and consultancy services through delivery of the approved Internal Audit Risk based Plan and Combined Assurance Plan to add value and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes in MCM.
Key Activities:
• Conducts assurance and advisory engagements, which conform to the requirements of professional standards.
• Deliver assurance to MCM at the right quality (on time and at the right cost) and add value.
• Identifies, recommends and incorporates cost saving initiatives/opportunities into budgets and controls expenditure within approved budgets.
• Financial Management; influences appropriate management of capital and operational expenditure in the business through assurance work, which includes appropriate analysis of trends and budgets, advise and recommendations.
• Contribute meaningfully to the development of the Annual Risk based Audit Plan.
• Plans for each audit/consultancy assignment and uses technical expertise of business systems and processes to identify key audit focus areas and develops audit engagement plans showing inter-alia, scope, objectives, budget and engagement program.
• Implements the audit plan through execution of audits using the approved audit methodology and in compliance with best practice / auditing standards to ensure value add to the business.
• Engage Management through the audit life cycle, i.e. discuss and agree on the audit scope, audit tests results, making recommendations for Governance Risk and Control (GRC) improvement and agreeing with Management on corrective action plans to address root causes.
• Ensures proposed recommendations deal with root cause of issues and have impact to the organization.

• 3-5 years of work experience preferably in a similar environment.
• Registration in good standing with the Engineering Registration Board (ERB).
• Membership of an internationally recognised Institute of Internal Auditors like IIA, BICA etc will be an added advantage.

7. SUPPLY CHAIN OFFICER
Job Summary:
To perform effective supply chain transactions in accordance with MCM standards, policies and procedures, in areas of inventory management, procurement and quality and standards.
Key Activities:
• Adheres to all quality assurance/governance protocols/principles in area of responsibly.
• Participates in control of Mini Business Units cost saving initiatives by optimizing resource utilization in area of responsibility.
• Assists in maintaining adequate stock levels initiating stock replenishment requests.
• Checks the outstanding orders report, in-transit report all outstanding stock orders and expedite delivery.
• Mitigate stock-outs as and when they occur and arranges for urgent orders to be placed.
• Assists in identifying slow moving and obsolete stock and makes recommendations to the Stores Supervisor for management.
• Physically verifies critical strategic items in all storage locations as per weekly and monthly plan.
• Compiles & submit the stock verification record & explanations to the Stores Supervisor for the necessary adjustments to the stock records.
• Monitors consignment stock receipts and issues and processes consignment documentation to ensure timely payment of suppliers and replenishment of stock.
• Reviews unfulfilled requirements and effectively follows up backorders with vendors to ensure their fulfilment.
• Reviews and understand customer requests on Purchase Requisitions and prepares source lists and issues requests for quotations from suppliers to screen and select suppliers in line with the purchasing procedure to address end user requirements.
• Assists in coordinating supplier site visits to ensure projects are completed according to specifications. (where required).
• Participates in technical and commercial tender evaluation and compilation of tender evaluation and adjudication reports.
• Evaluates and adjudicates submitted quotations taking cognisance of specification, quality, lead time and price and makes recommendations for approval by the relevant budget holder.
• Where Tender Committee approval is required, evaluates tenders with relevant stakeholders and prepares tender summaries with recommendations for approval by the Supervisor.
• Places orders with approved suppliers in line with established procedures.
• Expedites orders on a regular basis by following up with suppliers to improve cycle time and reduce stock outs and production delays.
• Sources goods from citizen owned suppliers in accordance with the MCM Supplier Development Policy.
• Prepares and issues order amendments (quantities, price, etc) as required and manages price variances to ensure that correct payments are processed.
• Participates in supplier performance reviews in order to assess the performance of suppliers against the terms of their contracts and any associated key performance.
• Process supplier registration application forms by issuing, receiving, review for completeness and grade suppliers for approval by the Standards Officer and participates in conducting supplier inspections.
• Receive and verifies new stock applications for duplication and completeness of specification and submit to the Standards Officer for approval and processing.
• Ensures that all corrective and preventative actions from quality complaints are timeously implemented by making follow up with end-users.
• Assists in checking and verifying in-coming items for their correctives and advice warehousing on the correct binning methods.
• Receive and maintain a record of redundant materials awaiting disposal and participates in material disposal process.
• Updates material safety data sheets for all chemicals delivered and the hazardous substances inventory register for the Mine.
• Maintains the Technical Library of specifications and drawings of equipment used as well as other literature and supplier’s catalogue to ensure compliance to set standards.

Job Summary:

9. ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICER
Job Summary:
To implement, monitor and maintain the environmental programme for Morupule Coal Mine to ensure compliance to mine procedures, policies standards, codes of practice and legal requirements.
Key Activities:
• Evaluates the performance of the environmental system for various mini business areas and recommends or implements improvements as required.
• Conducts and coordinates environmental audit to ensure compliance to legal requirements.
• Maintains the environmental management system database to ensure data integrity and availability and compliance to company and legal requirements.
• Conducts aspects and impact assessments for new projects and or process change and analyses the impact.
• Provides technical advise in incident investigations to ensure compliance to reporting standards and legal requirements.
• Compiles and analyses environmental statistics highlighting problem areas and makes recommendation for improvement.
• Schedules and conducts safety environmental training such as basic waste disposal, separation at source and simulations to employees and contractors.
• Facilitates environmental campaigns by engaging Department/Mini Business Areas in order to get buy in.
• Conducts Safety, Health and Environment inductions employees, contractors and visitors as necessary
• Analyses environmental incidents to establish trends in order to predict potential risk areas and make recommendations to the head of department/mini business area manager to minimise those risks.
• Conducts comprehensive risks identification, assessment and analysis the results to determine trends and develops action plans to minimize and mitigate the identified risks.
• Facilitate Hazards Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) process.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
• Degree in Environmental Sciences.
