Drugs hit BW music

Who would have thought that the once most peaceful and near perfect country of Botswana will start registering staggering numbers of drug use? It has been alleged that at least 60% of our musicians across all genres are on drugs. In a statement given by Botswana Music Union (BOMU) Pagson Ntsie, they have a number of local musicians who are allegedly involved with drugs.

He revealed that indeed the issue has been on for long and as union they are to work closely with musicians to aid in combating the situation before it gets out of hand. He has since also said that there is one popular artist he is aware of who was known for selling drugs. Nonetheless, the union will also be hosting its annual music awards and it has already opened registration.
