Real Madrid Consider Selling Ten Players Including Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema And Isco
REAL MADRID could reportedly cut ties with 10 players this summer as Florentino Perez considers selling the likes of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Isco.
The Spanish giants are in the midst of a hugely disappointing campaign by their high standards and went into Tuesday night’s showdown with Espanyol a whopping 14 points adrift of Barcelona.
They failed to close the gap on the La Liga leaders though as Gerardo Moreno’s 93rd-minute strike earned Espanyol a surprise win.
Real‘s only hope of securing major silverware this season now lies in the Champions League, a title they’ve won for the past two years.
And they’re planning to overhaul their squad this summer in order to ensure there’s not a repeat of this term next time around.
The latest reports from Spain indicate Real are considering selling up to 10 players when the transfer window opens again.
According to Diario Gol, Real are set to axe underperfoming attackers Bale and Benzema.
Isco is in danger of being pushed through the exit door too having fallen out with Zinedine Zidane.
Current Bernabeu No 1 Keylor Navas is also going to be sold at the end of the summer.
David De Gea and Thibaut Courtois are being lined up as potential replacements for the Costa Rican.
