South African artists that were supposed to headline the WeBechuAna show in Serowe failed to turn up to the show that was on the eve of Independence day.
For many months flyers have been all over the country advertising the event and one would have thought Fifi Cooper and DJ Shimza would be here at least a day before the event or just hours earlier to show some commitment and respect for their fans.
Shimza and Fifi Cooper have since ‘apologized’ to the revelers and attendants of the show both claiming they arrived late at the airport, as if that is a good enough explanation for missing the show.
Fifi Cooper was supposed to be at the venue by 2pm where she was to interact with fans at the poolside but she was clearly not part of that since she only departed late enough for her to spend the night at the border that closes at midnight when she was supposed to be in Botswana by lunch time.
People have since bashed promoters for giving foreign artists too much respect when they actually have no respect for their fans adding that they could have given the opportunity to some talented local artists.
