Vacancy- Investment Analyst Wanted At Debswana Pension Fund

Responsible for a wide variety of functions including implementation of the investment process, asset management, provision of qualitative and quantitative research in addition to assessment of investment opportunities and business risks.

• Conduct investment research, identification and technical analysis of investment opportunities,
• Participate in the design and development of IT based investment management tools for producing and reviewing fund monitoring reports,
• Collaborate with the finance section regarding investment accounts and transaction statements,
• Monitor closely financial press and keeping track of market trends, opportunities, risks and new investment opportunities, registering and monitoring all investment opportunities in the pipeline,
• Compile advisory, investment and analytical reports,
• Provide real-time information on investments
• Maintain and liaise with fund managers, as well as deal with queries received from fund and property managers, actuary and third parties,
• Provide all administrative investment functions, and ensure that the Investment Manager and internal business partners receive the appropriate level of support.
• Project assessment for investment opportunities

• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
• Extensive background in Finance or Finance related discipline with comprehensive ability to analyze and prepare financial statements, reports and projections
• Excellent communicationand interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships (trustees, management, investment managers, regulator, participating employers, members etc.)
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, and to work within a small dynamic team

• A degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Statistics, Investments or any related field would be advantageous
• Prior work experience in a financial institution is highly beneficial
