Vacancy; Director of Credit-IRC126500 Wanted At FNB
Purpose of the role
Monitor and implement the FNB Credit Risk Management Policy by achieving set performance standards, as well as compliance to Credit regulatory requirements.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Drive an increase in average balance of assets as defined in the Financial Performance Report of the business.
- Establish, align and manage target and budget goals whilst ensuring effective control of costs for a range of functional areas to increase cost efficiency.
- Reduce Bad debts as a percentage of performing loans utilisation based on effective lending principals applied during approval.
- Achieve year on year Total Revenue Growth for the Business.
- Develop and implement differentiated Credit service models for FNB Botswana and segments by maintaining the credit provisioning Models in the credit business.
- Identify opportunities to expand our customer base with creditworthy and potentially profitable customers.
- Execution of the Credit portfolio growth strategy in line with predetermined growth targets, which are determined on an annual basis through conducting competitor analysis and innovating new value propositions by developing sales initiatives which align with the various segment strategies.
- Implement and manage the early detection tools in Fraud for predicting credit risk, fraud, attrition and credit behaviour profiles.
- Plan and manage performance, skills development, employment equity, talent and culture of team in order to improve innovation, achieve efficiencies and increase competencies.
- Improve business decisions by providing accurate and reliable business intelligence (information) together with analysing trends and data.
Minimum Experience, qualifications required for this role are as follows:
- A Degree in Accounting or Finance or any Business related qualification.
- 5-8 years’ experience in a Senior Management role within the lending environment.
Additional requirements:
- Knowledge of Credit or Lending policies and procedures as well as relevant regulatory requirement framework.
- A comprehensive understanding of credit risk policies and relevant strategic principles designed to protect portfolio quality.
- Good knowledge of Botswana’s legal framework
- Abreast with economical / market / legal changes and apply innovative thinking to proactively effect adaptations in order to ensure an effective and smart collections effort.
