You can take an online course called English for Journalism that will improve your English-language skills in the reading, drafting, editing and proofreading of today’s journalism. Writing in English can extend the reach of your stories to the nearly 2 billion English-language readers in the world. The course, developed by the U.S. Department of State and the University of Pennsylvania, will teach you how to take notes, use sources and accurately quote people.

 English for Journalism is available through Coursera, a platform that joins leading universities worldwide to offer massive open online courses (MOOCs). English for Journalism starts August 15.
