Mochudi Centre Chiefs Protest Against The Use Of Ofentse Nato
Ofentse Nato’s registration has come under scrutiny once more. Mochudi Centre Chiefs have confirmed that they have filed a protest against Township Rollers after they used midfielder Ofentse ‘Size 10′ Nato in the first leg of Mascom Top 8 semi final on Friday night. Rollers thumped Chiefs 3-1 in an entertaining match played at the Francistown Sports Complex.
According to Article 5.2 of Mascom Top 8 rules and regulations, Any team which uses an improperly registered player (defaulter) shall be guilty of an offense and liable to pay an amount between P 20,000 and P 50,000 and automatic disqualification from the tournament.
Gilport Lions have also filed the same complaint following their loss against Rollers in the League. Nato plays most of his football in India and during the breaks he moves to the Botswana Premier League.
