5 Community Mobilizers Wanted At Tebelopele
Tebelopele seeks to recruit inspired individuals who are looking for challenging jobs to join its team for the position of 5 community mobilizers. The successful applicants will be placed at Okavango, Francistown, Selebi Phikwe, Boteti and Kgalagadi.
Responsibilities
The Community Mobilizers will be responsible for carrying out district community mobilization activities such as public campaigns, house to house education and group discussions. He/she will work with Nurse Counsellor/Lay Counsellors in identifying target groups to ensure uptake of HTC services. He/she will work closely with the Peer educators to ensure that program activities/procedures are implemented with fidelity to the timelines in the following Districts: Okavango, Francistown, Selebi Phikwe, Boteti and Kgalagadi.
Principal Duties
Mobilize the target groups in the prescribed communities using participatory engagement including: one-on-one, door-to-door, group discussions, public announcements, community meetings and other relevant strategies to ensure 100% success.
Ensure that mobilization is properly and adequately carried out in all the assigned areas.
Supervises (working with Nurse Counsellor) Peer Educators to ensure that their work is progressing and contributing to the HTC targets.
Track and report all mobilization activities & results to the Nurse Counsellor.
Work with the Nurse Counsellor to ensure proper action is taken to correct issues related to data collection.
Ensures data security and safe of completed data sources.
Protects client privacy and confidentiality by signing data use and confidentiality agreement.
Promotes support for clients, including referral to relevant services, e.g. HTC, SRH, care and support services.
Qualifications.
O’ Level Certificate. A Certificate in any Health related course on HIV/AIDS Training will be an added advantage.
Experience in community work and mobilization is required.
At least 1 year experience of community mobilization in HIV/AIDS related counselling and testing, PMTCT, and SMC.
Experience in working with Key Populations will be an added advantage.
Knowledge and understanding of the key issues relating to Voluntary Counselling & Testing
